This painting was inspired by the view of the bay in North Truro on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. It turned cool and early morning from the initial warm afternoon feelings. There may be rain on the horizon. It also didn’t want to be tall and narrow, so it finished up as a landscape orientation after the first coat in portrait orientation.
