This type of drawing is something I do to give my hands and mind something to do while ‘chill-axing’, as my kids say. Typically, I would head to my painting space to create something with paint and a 3″ putty knife, but getting to my space has been difficult with so much going on in my days. I have to say I am pretty happy with this image. Zoom up for lots of fun details. This drawing started with a star, which stayed on the page alone for a few days, then the pine trees made themselves known and we were off to the races. Christmas emerged. Check out Santa’s boots in the fireplace :). I added ice skates for one of my nieces, pine cones for my husband, and lots and lots of presents.
I was thinking of calling this piece ‘You better be good’ but decided to add it to an ornament and call it Feeling Christmas in the end.
