This painting started as something of a view of outer space piece. The background sky draws you out and up with a hint of aurora borealis feel. Not surprisingly, trees moved into the scene, some open and some dense growth. Moving water merges with the sky and a brisk updraft lifts some of the golden yellow leaves up to flirt with the stars. Changing lighting will show a hint of sun thru the yellow trees and reflected moon shine off the dark wood trunks. Feels like its time for a walk in a dark wood to find a peaceful moment of beauty.
